But I swear I'm still not dead.

I've also started a journal at DreamWidth (they have open account creation until the end of the year) and I'm trying out the crossposter. Of course I end up having to decide if I want to cross post to my InsaneJournal or my LiveJournal....

O hey, "ditzy" is an actual mood option for posts. I should use that one all the time. :D

Random scent question

What's the difference between "rose" and "tea rose" scents?

I'm trying to figure out how to recreate the scent of Glade's "Spiced Vanilla Rose" scented oil candles as a personal scent at Garden Botanika. They allow you to choose up to three of their fragrance oils in a custom blend and I've narrowed it down to Vanilla Musk (since the scent seems to have a musky note to me), Spice (hoping that it is the right spice blend), and then I get stuck, Rose or Tea Rose? I might have to brave one of the malls and see if any of the retail locations have the fragrance kiosks so I can sniff things.

Not dead yet

I just spend less time online than usual. Back around my birthday I met someone and we're getting to know each other. :)

Also, I deleted my GreatestJournal since the site seems to be dying and I never found anyone to talk to there that I don't already talk to here or on InsaneJournal. So if you see ShadowedMyst on GJ next year it's NOT ME.

Is a laptop (well, more like a table top all considered).

This is by the same artist as the scanner to book mod I posted about before. Together they would make one sweet set up in a nice roll top desk.

More anachronistic tech lust

This one isn't by the same person as the monitor and keyboard but I think it would go along well with them.

A nice big book wouldn't look out of place on a desk, what a great way to disguise a scanner.

Now I just need a good plan for the actual computer (the scanner guy has a decent one)... and enough money to pay for all the mods and parts. *sigh*

I just love it to pieces. If I had the skills necessary I might try to recreate it myself but I'm really not that handy with this sort of thing. I wonder if I can find someone to do it for me....

He has "how to" pages for the monitor and keyboard and I guess he's working on the mouse next.

I have the space, but not the money

I want to set aside a proper altar space in my apartment and have been looking around at butsudan whenever the urge hits. I'd love to get this one:

But there is no way I can swing that much money for my altar. Maybe I should see what there is for small entertainment centers and make some alterations (altarations? :) to make it work. It would certainly be cheaper!
